INCI: Passiflora Edulis Fruit Powder Extract
Passionfruit Extract was made by properly drying a selected portion of fruit. The proper drying ensures that the extract will have the properties of a fresh fruit. Like many other fruits, the passionfruit is an ideal source of dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals. The vitamins include A, B1, B2, B3 and C. They are crucial for our body and work as coenzymes in catalytic functions. Vitamin B3 - niacin (nicotinic acid) - takes part in the synthesis and degradation of carbohydrates, fatty acids and amino acids. Passionfruit is a rich source of multiple minerals including potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, manganese and zinc. Selenium in turn plays a role in the cellular antioxidant system which is responsible for maintaining the structure and functioning of cellular membranes. This mineral works together with vitamin E to prevent damages caused by free radicals. Besides the passionfruit contains carotenoids which have antioxidant properties. The passionfruit helps you relax and calm down.
